If you go on the Bitcoin ABC website, you’ll see the following message:
“Bitcoin ABC is a full node implementation of the eCash protocol. We aim to provide a solid, stable software and infrastructure for eCash and lead protocol development to build global electronic cash.”
In other words, Bitcoin ABC is the development team currently leading the eCash project. And while that may technically answer the question in the title of this article, I don’t think it tells the whole story.
The truth is, if not for the members of Bitcoin ABC, I would have sold my eCash long ago. And I certainly wouldn’t have been adding to my XEC position as I have over the last few years. Considering the price is down almost 98% since it’s all time high in 2021, some may wonder why I continue to support this team and their project.
When friends ask if I’m still holding, I explain that for me, XEC isn’t just another financial investment, but also an ideological one. This is because I see eCash as having the potential to become one of the most important projects in history. I know that may sound delusional given the current state of things, but I guess you have to be a bit delusional to be an eCash supporter.
I’ve been thinking of how I can best explain why I remain committed to the work of Bitcoin ABC, and I think what it comes down to is belief. I still believe in the team’s roadmap, their commitment, and their ability to deliver. Whether they will succeed or not is anyone’s guess, but I take comfort in knowing that I’m investing in people who I not only find trustworthy, but are also fighting for the same things I believe in. Maybe another way of putting it might be that because of these reasons, even if the eCash project were to fail, I could live with my decision. I wouldn’t be able to say the same if my money was only invested in meme coins launched by serial scammers.
The reason I became so obsessed with crypto was because I saw what it made possible. To me it represented a new financial system that could finally separate money from the state while opening the door to a new type of civilization going forward. It not only gave me hope, but it gave me a sense of purpose. I wanted to try and help educate others and show them the real beauty of crypto, which I hope this site demonstrates.
In recent years, the wider crypto industry seems to have abandoned the values that got me so excited back in 2017, but thankfully, Bitcoin ABC hasn’t given up. Despite the poor price action, and the lack of attention their project has gotten, they continue to work and build for a better future with no signs of quitting.
I feel like everywhere I look, I see politicians and bureaucrats continue to line their own pockets while their cities and constituents continue to suffer. Pot holes that never get fixed, homelessness that never goes away, complaints that never get answered. You see the same thing with many businesses where the people at the top prefer the path of least resistance so long as they get their annual bonus and another year’s salary. I know that eCash is a small project with a small team, making it hard to compare it to how a large city or company might be run. But I see it as a positive sign that Bitcoin ABC has managed to accomplish so much despite their limited resources.
They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and while others may not see how beautiful the eCash project really is, I certainly do, and I believe in my ability to recognize a thing of beauty when I see it. Whether it’s the roadmap, the protocol, the user experience, or their landing page, I have yet to come across another crypto project that is better than eCash in just one of those categories, let alone all four.
Whether 2026 turns out to be a good year for XEC is anyone’s guess, but I plan on continuing to support this team because they represent what I want to see more of in the world. I want to see the team succeed not only for my own sake, but for the sake of my children, and my children’s children. Meanwhile, I will continue fighting to achieve my own dreams, because the more I succeed, the more I can help eCash succeed.
Speaking of my own dreams, here’s an update on my book:
For those who are curious, here’s how my book is coming along. As I wrote on X, my oldest son sat down and read the first draft of my book a couple of weeks ago and it was a positive result. My biggest fear was he would think it was boring, lame, cringe, etc., but he seemed to really enjoy the story. Now I have until the end of March to finish my 2nd draft, which is mostly going to focus on adding some more details to the second half and fixing any scenes I think are a little awkward. Then my third draft will be due in June (these are all deadlines my son gave me lol), which will be focused on the prose itself. The goal is to publish this year. Right now I would say that I still have a lot of work left, but I’m cautiously optimistic.
This made me think that your son probably enjoys reading things that have pictures and illustrations. Have you ever thought about drawing or sketching small illustrations in your book? Has your son ever suggested this?

This article is about a person who still supports the eCash (XEC) project even though its price has fallen a lot in the last few years.
He says that Bitcoin ABC is the main team working behind eCash. They are responsible for developing the technology and improving the system. The writer trusts this team because they keep working honestly even when the project is not very popular.
Many people ask him why he still holds XEC when its price is so low. He explains that for him, eCash is not just about making money. It is something he truly believes in. He feels that cryptocurrency can create a better financial system in the future, one that is more independent and fair.
He also says that today many crypto projects only focus on profit and hype, but Bitcoin ABC still follows its original goal. That is why he continues to support them.
He believes that even if the project fails, he will not regret his decision because he invested based on trust and belief, not just for money.
At the end of the article, he also talks about his personal life. He shares that he is writing a book and hopes to publish it this year after finishing a few drafts.

The great Bitcoin ABC team and its supporters who are always enthusiastic
Victory lies in strategy, don’t abandon strategy
A top quality article that reflects so much of my own sentiment. I too would’ve likely stopped supporting the project if it wasn’t for the quality of the people comprising the BitcoinABC team. I don’t know any of them personally, so how can I say that about them? Because, as our Lord said: “A tree is known by its fruits.” eCash is more than just amazing engineering. It’s also something that has the potential to become an integral part of a better future, in which people have the freedom to live in a world in which – as Abe Lincoln said – “Money becomes the servant, not the master, of humanity.”
