I like ecash a lot, but sometimes I feel pretty lonely as I don’t physically interact with others that share this interest. Hearing a voice that talks about ecash and the values it tries to achieve satisfies part of this need so this is pretty valuable for me. Thank you!

Imagine walking through a land where everyone trades in silver. Silver coins are in every pocket, Markets bustle, deals are struck, but only in silver. You, however, carry something else. A bag of gold. Pure gold at that. Not fool’s gold. And yet, in this land, no one knows what it is. They glance at it and scoff, to them, it’s useless. “It’s just yellow rock” they say.
But one day, you meet a stranger.
As soon as his eyes catches the glint of it, he steps closer, observing him you can tell he knows what this is. He confirms your observation with a quiet yet amazed assertion, he says, “I know what this is, this is gold”. At last someone doesn’t laugh at your gold. Someone doesn’t dismiss it.
He speaks of a place far from here, where gold is not only known but treasured. A place where it’s the silver of it’s world. You know he’s not lying, you’ve once been there.
And then he does the unthinkable,he offers you something in return. A trade. A fair one. An agreement to deal with you in gold.
For the first time, your gold becomes useful. It’s no longer value locked in a purse, it’s now currency.
The highlight of the my poorly described story is, Remember your world shifted because someone was ready to let you access something you find valuable in return for your gold.
Most of my ecash is sitting idle in a wallet with the seed phrase itched into my memory. I wake up every morning and those are the first 12 words I say. But sooner, it gets boring just seeing it sitting idle.
Unlocking your articles is one of the few ways I get to use my ecash and more importantly, not in some zero sum way.. you’re like the pizza guy to the xec community, “it’s just a pizza” one might say, but to those who are not here just for the price, it’s more than that. that’s offering an avenue to use their xec in real time, it’s the dividing line between a coin just waiting to garner value and one that’s useful.
It’s just 100 xec, but it’s more significant than that. I always anticipate your next article. I hope more people see the light.
